Retaliation and Civil Rights Actions (42 Usc 1983) Against Officers on Duty. It is common for citizens to claim they were detained or arrested, not because of a criminal act or traffic violation, but for what they were saying or doing at the time of their seizure. Their lawsuits claim they were retaliated against for exercising their rights under the First Amendment to the Constitution. 

Instructor:  Attorney Scott Wood, Former Tulsa Police Officer, Certified Force Analyst, and Former General Counsel to the National Tactical Officers Association, has represented over 100 officers in use of force investigations and defends officers accused of civil rights violations.
