We're not just an insurance company competing for your business - we are an organization owned and governed by the cities and towns we serve.
An Introduction
Founded in 1977 by Oklahoma cities and towns seeking insurance solutions tailored to the unique risks of municipalities, OMAG has grown from just two founding members to serving over 500 cities and towns across the state. Our focus has remained clear and consistent: to provide specialized liability, property, workers compensation, and cyber coverage exclusively for Oklahoma municipalities.
OMAG operates as a not-for-profit agency under the Interlocal Cooperation Act, meaning we exist solely to serve our members. All funds are reinvested back into Oklahoma communities through value-added services such as training workshops and expos, financial assistance programs, equipment grants, and other resources that help reduce risk and strengthen municipal operations.
What sets OMAG apart is not just our coverage—it's our commitment to service. Oklahoma is our only market, and municipalities are our only customers. This singular focus allows us to deeply understand the challenges you face and offer solutions that are both relevant and responsive.
Our experienced staff operates with a spirit of collaboration, innovation, and dedication we call The OMAG Way. Whether it's quickly turning around quotes, diving deep into risk data, helping members navigate legal and human resource challenges, or supporting investment leadership with meaningful training—our team consistently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of our members.
At OMAG, we don't just sell insurance. We build relationships, foster a culture of continuous learning, and serve with pride—because we believe strong municipalities build a stronger Oklahoma.
